The support categories have been confirmed for the season-ending Sandown Summer Enduro this December.
Headlined by the season finale to the Game Over Australian Endurance Championship, the Sandown Summer Enduro will host an array of support categories at the historic venue.
Carrying on the endurance theme will be the annual David Lowe Memorial Enduro run by the Hyundai Excel Racing Association of Victoria. A prestigious event on the Victorian state racing calendar, the David Lowe Memorial Enduro always attracts a large field and big name drivers, with the event being run at Sandown for the first time.
BMW E30 Racing will be another category contesting endurance events at Sandown in a non-championship affair. This category has been building for the last few seasons and an endurance event is the next step in its progression.
Sprint races will be held for the burgeoning Sports Compact category featuring the likes of Honda, Nissan, Fiat, Renault, BMW and more in addition to the Australian Drivers’ Championship for the spectacular, homegrown Hyper Racer X1s.
Adding a historic element to the event will be Stock Cars Australia where the memories from AUSCAR and NASCAR live on.
One more category will be announced to complete a packed schedule of racing at the Sandown Summer Enduro led by a pair of two-hour races to decide the 2026 Game Over Australian Endurance Championship.
The Sandown Summer Enduro will be run using AASA provided licensing and permits.
Details regarding the livestream arrangements will also be confirmed in due course.
The season finale of the 2026 Game Over Australian Endurance Championship, the Sandown Summer Enduro is set to be held on December 4-6.
