The Grand Prix Motorsport Mercedes-AMG GT of Jake Camilleri and Glenn Walker has swept the two practice sessions for Game Over Australian Endurance Championship at Sydney Motorsport Park.
A wet track greeted competitors for the opening session where the Grand Prix Motorsport Mercedes-AMG GT set a 1m 51.659s to finish 3.37s ahead of the similar entry of AR Nineteen Racing duo Jamie Arratoon and Luke King.
It was a Mercedes-AMG GT top three lockout at the top courtesy of the second AR Nineteen Racing entry of John Nikolovski and Fabian Coulthard.
Anthony Soole and Grant Denyer were fourth in the Property Investment Store McLaren 570s from Anthony Levitt driving the Ginetta Australia G56.
Sixth in the third AR Nineteen Racing Mercedes-AMG were Mark Griffith and Tom Hayman, while seventh was the lead ATR Motorsport BMW 240IX shared by Misty and Cody Grimsley.
The sister ATR Motorsport BMW M2 of Eric Ebert and Luke Vanna was next followed by the Steve Jukes/Karl Begg BMW M4, while Graeme Wakefield was 10th in the venerable Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X shared alongside Craig Allan.
Karlie and Paul Buccini finished just outside the top 10 in their Team Buccini Racing BMW 340i, while Jim Manteufel rounded out the field in the Man Homes HSV Clubsport R8.
There were some interesting results in the second practice session, notably the Wakefield/Allen Mitsubishi was fifth outright.
Camilleri and Walker still held the top spot courtesy of a 1m 54.017s from Arratoon/King, with Levitt breaking the Mercedes-AMG stranglehold of the top three.
Griffith/Hayman were fourth, with the Evo X next ahead of Ebert/Vanna, Nikolovski/Coulthard, Grimsley/Grimsley, Soole/Denyer and Jukes/Begg.
Rounding out the field were Manteufel/Gersekowski and Buccini/Buccini.
Next up for the Game Over Australian Endurance Championship is a third practice session at 8:45 before Qualifying at 9:50am and the Sydney 3 Hour from 12:00pm Saturday.
